Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account data: your email address when you sign up.
• Yarn and project data: stash entries, patterns, row-counter state, and notes you create in the app.
• Photos: yarn photos you upload for AI identification. Stored in your private Supabase storage bucket; not shared or used to train AI models.
• AI usage logs: a count of which AI features you use (e.g. "yarn_vision", "what_can_i_make") to enforce free-tier quotas. No prompt content is stored.
• Error reports: anonymous crash reports including stack traces sent to Sentry. No personal data or yarn content is included.
• Payment data: if you subscribe to SkeinSmart Pro, Stripe processes your payment. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status — never your card number.

How we use your data

• To operate and improve SkeinSmart.
• To enforce AI usage quotas (free: 25 lifetime uses; Pro: 500/day).
• To process subscription payments via Stripe.
• To diagnose bugs via Sentry error reports.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models.

Third-party services

• Supabase — authentication and database (US-based). Supabase Privacy Policy

• Sentry — error monitoring. Sentry Privacy Policy
• Anthropic Claude API — AI features (yarn photo analysis, pattern generation). Photos and prompts are sent to Anthropic for processing and are subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train models.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained until you delete your account. To request account and data deletion, email privacy@skeinsmart.com. We will delete your account and associated data within 30 days.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us at privacy@skeinsmart.com with any requests.
