Weave in all remaining ends securely using a tapestry needle. Wet-block all three panels before assembly: soak in cool water, gently squeeze out excess water (do not wring), pin to finished dimensions (16 in × 16 in for front; 16 in × 10.5 in for upper back; 16 in × 8.5 in for lower back), and allow to dry completely. Assemble as described in the Assembly section. Insert the 16-in square pillow form through the envelope opening at center back. The overlapping panels will hold the insert securely without buttons or zippers.

BOBBLE DIRECTION: Bobbles naturally pop to the WS of the fabric as you make them. After completing each bob, firmly push it through to the RS using your finger or thumb before continuing. COUNTING ROWS: Count your bobble rows carefully — do not eyeball alignment. Place a stitch marker or a small piece of yarn at the base of every bobble row as you complete it so you can verify spacing. TENSION: Bobbles create a thicker, denser fabric; avoid pulling your yarn too tightly on the sc rows flanking bobble rows, or the fabric may pucker. SIZING ADJUSTMENT: For an 18-in pillow, cast on 64 sts and work 66 rows for the front panel. For a 20-in pillow, cast on 70 sts and work 72 rows. Adjust back panels proportionally. YARN USAGE: Bobble rows consume approximately 30% more yarn per row than plain sc rows. If working with multiple skeins, begin a new skein at the start of a plain sc row rather than mid-row. COLOR VARIATION: This pattern works beautifully in a single color or with bobble rows worked in a contrasting color; simply join the contrast color at the start of each WS bobble row and fasten off at the end of that row, then rejoin the main color.
